My name is Greg and I'm a student and aspiring software developer based in Arlington, Texas. I was homeschooled 1 st through 12 th grade and am now attending The University of Texas at Arlington. I am very passionate about making apps that are useful, engaging, and informative without sacrificing performance and design.

Trivia: the line of code at the top of this page is valid in Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Swift. If it had a semicolon ; at the end, it would be valid in C# too. It creates a variable named greeting and stores the phrase "Hello, world!" in it.

Work Experience

Between 2013 and 2018, I volunteered at Pantego Bible Church as a student leader and primarily helped with the media team for the youth ministry.  In 2018, I began volunteering as a team leader for media at Authentic City Church, which had just launched.  I've developed mobile apps for both of these churches—check out my portfolio to learn more.  Also in 2018, I began a student worker position at the IT division of the The University of Texas at Arlington police department.  I have since been transfered to IT for Administration and Campus Operations; however, I still focus exclusively on the police department.  My primary responsibilities are responding to help desk tickets and maintaining department computers.

StrikeDistance logo
StrikeDistance

StrikeDistance was the first app I developed.  It is a calculator that determines the distance between you and a lightning strike, given the current temperature and the time between the flash and boom.  I originally wrote it in Visual Basic for Windows Phone and later rewrote it in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for the web.

Merge

The Merge app is designed to keep the students of Pantego Bible Church engaged through upcoming events, Merge groups, announcements, and more.  The app also includes a leader area with aditional materials and an attendance tracker.

Authentic City Church

Church isn't a once-a-week event.  That's why the Authentic City Church app is designed to keep people engaged, involved, and updated throughout the week with everything happening at Authentic.
